Hanger Hill Course History:
On the east side of Hanger Lane was Hanger Hill House. A late C18th house was built for the Wood family. Who owned large tracts of land in Ealing. It was rented to Sir Edward Montague Nelson from 1874 to 1901, and the grounds were then used as a golf course from 1901 to 1930. After which the site was sold and developed as Haymills Estate from 1933. The remnants of its grounds may be seen near the intersection of Hillcrest Road and Hanger Lane.
