FootGolf in Northern Ireland
Northern Ireland has one FootGolf venue that we can confirm is open: Newtownabbey Footgolf, on the north side of Belfast. Two others that older directories still list, Mount Ober in Belfast and a course near Derry, have closed.
Where to play
- Newtownabbey Footgolf, 10 Cullyburn Road, Newtownabbey, BT36 5BN: An 18-hole, par 70 parkland course overlooking Belfast Lough, which the venue says was Northern Ireland's first 18-hole FootGolf course. It has water features, bunkers and mature trees. Listed prices: adults £15, under-18s £11, under-13s £10, ball hire £2 or bring your own. Family tickets with balls included are £45 for two adults and two under-18s, £53 with three and £60 with four, and group rates are available on request. The venue says it is open every day from 9am until dusk, with the last tee time an hour and a half before dusk. A round takes one to two hours and groups are capped at six. Football boots with moulded studs are allowed, but metal studs and blades are not, and trainers or astro boots are recommended. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Book online or email play@newtownabbeyfootgolf.com.
Prices and hours are as listed on the venue's own website when we checked on 18 October 2026. The site's footer is dated 2021 and none of its pages show an update date, so confirm prices and opening hours when you book.
Listed elsewhere, but not confirmed
These places show up in older directories or searches. We could not confirm that they offer FootGolf today, so we have not listed them as venues.
- Mount Ober Footgolf, Belfast: Closed. Its operator said the site had closed indefinitely after a housing development cut off vehicle access, and the local tourism listing for it has since been removed.
- Limavady and Derry: The venue we previously listed, the Limitless Adventure Centre in Limavady (formerly Foylehov), appears to have closed in late 2024 after storm damage. We found no confirmed operating replacement in the Derry or Londonderry area.
- Craigavon, Ballyclare, Lisburn, Antrim, Armagh and Ballymena: People search for FootGolf in these towns. We found no FootGolf venue on a venue's own website in any of them.
Before you go
FootGolf venues change their offer often, so confirm that FootGolf is running and check prices and booking on the venue's own page before you travel. Wear turf or indoor soccer shoes, not cleats: our equipment and dress code guide has the details, and how to play FootGolf covers the rules.
