FootGolf Courses in the UK & Ireland

Official governing bodies

Each nation runs its own federation, all affiliated with the Federation for International FootGolf (FIFG), the same international body that oversees the AFGL in the United States.

• UK FootGolf Association (UKFG): covers England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Wales, and has been a FIFG member since 2012.
• FootGolf Association of England (FGAEngland): England's official governing body, established in 2020.
• Footgolf Scotland (FGAoS): the governing body for Scottish FootGolf clubs and courses.
• FootGolf Association of Ireland: founded in 2014 and a FIFG member the same year, covering the Republic of Ireland.

For the current, complete course list, the most reliable source is the FootGolf Frenzy A-Z Course Directory, which covers England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland and is kept more current than any single course list. Even so, we found several of its own listings out of date during our research below, so treat every source (including this page) as a starting point rather than the last word.

Where to play, region by region

London

• Tudor Park FootGolf, New Barnet: an 18-hole course on the former East Barnet Golf Club site, generally regarded as London's first 18-hole FootGolf course. Free car parking and changing rooms on site.
• London FootGolf Centre, Hanger Hill Park, Ealing (W5): a 1,037-yard parkland course with both 9- and 18-hole options, a five-minute walk from Hanger Lane Tube station.
• Horsenden Hill Golf & FootGolf Centre, Greenford: an 18-hole FootGolf layout alongside a separate 9-hole pitch-and-putt course, close to Sudbury Town station.

South East England

• Tilgate Forest Golf Centre, Crawley: a 9-hole FootGolf course set within 400 acres of High Weald forest, alongside the main golf course and a 35-bay driving range.
• Gatwick Footgolf, Burstow, near Horley: a dedicated 18-hole FootGolf course (formerly Burstow Park Golf Club) with water hazards, a few miles from Gatwick Airport.
• Chichester Golf Club, Hunston: a 9-hole FootGolf course played as one or two loops, part of a much larger complex with two 18-hole championship courses. FootGolf runs on a limited daily window (historically 3pm to 5pm), so book ahead.
• Tonbridge Golf Centre, Cannon Lane: a 9-hole, Par 38 FootGolf course sharing land with the main golf course, about a mile from Tonbridge train station.

Hertfordshire

Rickmansworth Golf Course, on the Moor Park Estate, has historically run a FootGolf course alongside its Par 3 course. As of our last check, both were closed to the public for a course transformation. Confirm current status before planning a visit.

West Midlands

• Horsehay Village Golf Centre, Telford: a council-run, 9-hole, Par 32 FootGolf course open daily. A second Telford venue, The Shropshire Golf Centre, discontinued its FootGolf course in 2024.
• Leam Valley Golf Centre, Kites Hardwick, near Rugby, Warwickshire: FootGolf runs alongside the venue's 9-hole Par 3 course and 14-bay covered driving range, though it's worth calling ahead to confirm current session times.

East Midlands

Tapton Park Golf Club, Chesterfield: a short, compact FootGolf course (sources list anywhere from 6 to 12 holes, so check current details before you go) on a parkland course with views of the town's famous Crooked Spire.

North West England

• Regent Park Golf Centre, Bolton: a 9-hole, 809-yard FootGolf course running alongside the main golf course, at a club established in 1932.
• FootGolf Manchester at Burnage RFC, on the Stockport/Didsbury border: a 9-hole woodland course on an 11-acre site near the River Mersey, run out of the rugby club's licensed bar and clubhouse.
• Euxton Park Golf Centre, between Leyland and Chorley: a 12-hole, Par 41 course with water features and bunkers, plus a floodlit driving range.
• Tee Time Golf Centre, Thornton-Cleveleys, on the outskirts of Blackpool: a 9-hole FootGolf course playable as 9 or 18 holes, marketed as Blackpool's only dedicated FootGolf venue.

Yorkshire and the Humber

• Footgolf Yorkshire at One Stop Golf, National Avenue, Hull: a 9-hole course (18 by playing twice), recognized as the UK's first accredited FootGolf course, with all-weather synthetic tees and greens for winter play.
• Grimsby Golf Centre, Cromwell Road: an 18-hole, Par 72 FootGolf course open year-round, alongside a dinosaur-themed adventure golf course.

South West England

• Ashton Court Footgolf and Windmill Footgolf in Bristol: Ashton Court is a 9-hole, Par 37 course on an 850-acre country park estate.
• FootGolf on the eXe, Exton, near Exmouth in East Devon: Devon's original 18-hole course, opened in 2016. It only runs seasonally, from Easter to the October half term, so it isn't a year-round option.
• Plymouth Golf Centre, Elburton: a 9-hole FootGolf course a few miles from Plymouth city centre.
• Cornwall Football Golf, St Austell: two 18-hole courses, Parkland and Hillside, about 5 minutes from the Eden Project. It's a seasonal venue that closes over winter and reopens each spring.

East of England

• Chelmsford Footgolf, West Park: nine holes alongside an 18-hole pitch-and-putt on mature parkland in Essex.
• Playgolf Colchester (Lexden Wood Golf Club), Bakers Lane: an 8-hole FootGolf course with views over the Colne Valley, plus an on-site restaurant known for its wood-fired pizza.
• St Cleres Golf Centre, Stanford-le-Hope: FootGolf runs on a 9-hole course on the Thames floodplain. The site's original 18-hole golf course closed in 2014, so treat older listings describing an 18-hole layout as out of date.
• Cambridge FootGolf Centre, Milton: an 18-hole, Par 70 course a couple of miles north of Cambridge, plus a separate 9-hole mini course for juniors.
• Eaton Park and Mousehold Heath in Norwich: two courses run on the city's existing pitch-and-putt layouts.

Wales

• Storws Wen, Anglesey
• Silver Birch Footgolf, Abergele, North Wales
• Dyffryn Clwyd, Ruthin, Denbighshire

Scotland

FootGolf Cumbernauld, at the Palacerigg Family Golf Centre on Palacerigg Road, is Scotland's only dedicated FootGolf course: a full 18 holes over roughly 2 miles, about 5 miles from Glasgow. The centre can arrange transfers from Glasgow Airport, runs a licensed bar, and regularly hosts stag/hen parties, birthdays, and corporate groups alongside casual play.

Northern Ireland

Newtownabbey Footgolf, Cullyburn Road, on the north side of Belfast: an 18-hole, Par 70 purpose-built course marketed as Northern Ireland's first 18-hole FootGolf course. We'd previously looked at two other Northern Ireland venues, Mount Ober near Belfast and a course near Derry, but both have since closed: Mount Ober's operator says the site is losing vehicle access to a housing development, and the Derry venue closed after storm damage in 2024. Newtownabbey is the option we can currently confirm is open.

Ireland

• Footgolf Cork, Ringenane, near Kinsale, Co. Cork: an 18-hole purpose-built course opened in 2015 on the site of the old Ringenane golf course, billed as the first purpose-built FootGolf course in the south of Ireland. Also runs HurlGolf and Tag Archery alongside the main course.
• Footee, Ballinascorney, Tallaght: Ireland's original FootGolf course, opened in 2013. An 18-hole, par-70 course in the foothills of the Dublin Mountains, now part of a wider multi-activity venue alongside rugbygolf and laser tag. A second option west of the city, Ballybane FootGolf, runs at Newcastle Golf Centre.
• Blackwater Footgolf, near Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford: an 18-hole purpose-built course that runs year-round, alongside the venue's own Footpool (a giant outdoor foot-pool table).
• FootGolf near Limerick: the more established option is the 18-hole course at Seanchoill Sports Complex, Corbally Road, Parteen, just across the Shannon from Limerick city. Limerick City Council also runs a separate, seasonal course under the name "Limerick FootGolf" at Rathbane Golf Course, so confirm which one a listing means before you travel.

Course availability, opening hours, and pricing change by season and by venue, and quite a few of the courses on this page have changed hole counts, hours, or operator (or closed entirely) since they first opened. We independently verify every venue we list here rather than just repeating an old directory entry, but treat any listing (including ours) as a starting point rather than a guarantee.
