FootGolf in Wales

Wales has five FootGolf venues we could confirm on their own websites: two in North Wales at Abergele and Ruthin, and three in the south at Swansea, Barry and Caerleon near Newport.

Where to play

  • Silver Birch Golf Club, Betws yn Rhos, near Abergele, LL22 8BZ: A pay-and-play golf and FootGolf club with its own FootGolf layout, which calls itself a Welsh Open finalist venue for the sport. Rounds are bookable as 9 or 18 holes. Listed prices: adults £15 for 9 holes and £22 for 18, juniors £10 and £15. The booking page shows the club open from 08:00 to 20:00 every day. Book online or call 01492 680690. There is an on-site cafe.
  • Dyffryn Clwyd FootGolf Centre, The Centre, Mwrog Street, Ruthin, LL15 1LE: A pay-and-play course designed for FootGolf only, with group, party and stag or hen bookings. Book a tee time online, call 01824 702885, or turn up and the staff will fit you in. The venue's pages did not show prices, so check the booking page or ask when you call. The venue says trainers or astro shoes are all the footwear you need.
  • Swansea Footgolf, Mumbles Road, Blackpill, Swansea, SA3 5AU: An 18-hole course used only for FootGolf, which the operator says has run since 2016. Listed prices: £8 for adults and £6 for concessions (students, under-16s, service personnel, carers and over-60s) when booked online, or £10 and £8 on the day. Booking ahead is required. A round takes about 90 minutes to two hours. Opening is seasonal and set by date range: weekdays from noon and weekends from 10am for much of April to October, every day in school holidays, weekends only from 23 February to 27 March and from 2 November to 18 December, and closed from 1 January to 13 February. Football boots and blades are not allowed, and groups are capped at six. Call 01792 207 544.
  • St Andrews Major FootGolf, Coldbrook Road East, St Andrews Major, near Barry: A custom-built 9-hole course with free-kick walls, ditches, a lake and a set of goals as obstacles, beside a floodlit driving range and a clubhouse. Listed prices: £8 for ages 15 and over and £6 for ages 14 and under. Book by phone on 01446 722 227, which is also the number for group and party prices. The page lists no FootGolf hours, so ask when you call.
  • Caerleon Golf Club, Caerleon, Newport (run by Celtic Manor Resort): A 9-hole FootGolf course beside the club's par-3 course. Listed prices: £7 for adults and £5 for juniors and concessions. Tee times run from 9am, with the last at 4pm, or 2pm from 29 October to 31 March, seven days a week. Advance booking is recommended, online or on 01633 420342. Studded football boots are not allowed, so wear training shoes.

Prices, hours and booking rules are as listed on each venue's own website or booking page when we checked on 18 October 2026. Venues change them often, so confirm with the venue before you travel.

Swansea charges less when you book online, and Dyffryn Clwyd's pages did not show prices at all, so the cheapest option depends on how and when you book.

Listed elsewhere, but not confirmed

These places show up in older directories or searches. We could not confirm that they offer FootGolf today, so we have not listed them as venues.

  • Storws Wen Golf Club, Anglesey: Older guides list FootGolf here, but the club's old website address now leads to a page offering the domain for sale and we found no current FootGolf listing. Call before you plan a trip.
  • Criccieth MultiGolf: Third-party listings describe a seasonal seafront course, but we found no official page and the listings disagree on prices and dates, so we have not listed it.
  • Bridgend: "Bridgend Golf & FootGolf" is in West Lothian, Scotland, not Bridgend in Wales. We found no FootGolf venue in Bridgend, Wales.
  • Cardiff, Llanrug and Flint Mountain: All three appear in older directories. We found no current FootGolf offer on a venue's own website for any of them.

Before you go

FootGolf venues change their offer often, so confirm that FootGolf is running and check prices and booking on the venue's own page before you travel. Wear turf or indoor soccer shoes, not cleats: our equipment and dress code guide has the details, and how to play FootGolf covers the rules.
